A Wedding Story - My "Pink" Bride

I first met the former Krystin McClure back in 2009 when she hired me to do her makeup and hair for her engagement shoot with the amazing Candace Jeffery. I remember it was then that she told me she was wearing pink for her wedding - I thought to myself "How cool is that!?!? I sooooo wanna be her makeup artist that day!!!" - A few months later my wish came true and I was booked to do hair and makeup services for her entire bridal party - 9 lovely women!

My fabulous team and I started in the early a.m. on April 9th at The Waters Edge - curling irons, makeup and bobby pins galore! Each assistant artist claimed a bridal attendant and off we went! There was nothing but laughing, smiling, tears of joy, and I must not forget to mention SHOW TUNES for 6 hours straight! Krystin desired a romantic look with glamorous lashes to compliment her stunning pink dress - I created this look just for her...

Krystin was so passionate about the "little" details- from her color theme of shades of pink and black throughout everyone's attire as well as the cake, to a matching raw silk baby dress for Piper (custom made by Rhonda - Krystin's mom) - she was able to achieve a beautifully feminine and sophisticated theme.

A big thank you to Rhonda McClure and the new Krystin Baribault for giving us the privilege of being a part of her wedding story. Please enjoy the beautiful images provided by Candace and see why this wedding was definitely one of my favorites!

There are plenty more breathtaking images - please check out my site often - as I will be displaying more of our work in the next few days! www.LarissaLakeMakeupArtist.com

  2. That looks like a gorgeous wedding! Kudos to her for wearing pink. My aunt wore a pink dress at her wedding...it was funny to see all the stuffy people make eyes at her for not wearing white :)
